Diane Dolcemaschio

Diane Dolcemaschio, best known to her family and friends as ''THE DON'' and '' Junction Function'', passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Born Tuesday, February 7, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Connie Martines. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Dolcemaschio. They would have been celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary this March. Diane was the devoted and loving mother to her son Joseph A Dolcemaschio. Her life revolved around her son. He was her world. She had fallen ill 23 years ago and fought everyday to be in her son's life. She was a fighter and she lived for him. She was a dear friend to many. Diane enjoyed chatting on the phone with her girlfriends and watching reality television. Diane and her family enjoyed taking trips to Florida and going to Disney World and Universal Studios. They always stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, her favorite hotel. Her son and husband will cherish the memories they have made forever. Diane is survived by her beloved husband Joseph M. her son Joseph A.,her brother Frank DeMartino and Sister Gloria Cianci, her sister and brother in laws Christine, Robert, Peter and Rosa, her nieces and nephews Christina, Salvatore, Toniann, Francesca, Peter Joseph, and her late nephew Anthony and her great nephews, best know by Diane as ''Big and Little Man'' and ''the King and the Prince'' Anthony and Salvatore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:15 AM on Wednesday at St Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 30 person in room policy is in effect, as well as a maximum of 200 people permitted in Church. Please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well. Floral Arrangements can be purchased from our in house floral designers who work under the most stringent sanitary conditions which include temperature checks, mask wearing, distancing and protective clothing.
