Obituary for Frances Ann O'Neill (Nee Magnoli) It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Frances Ann O'Neill (nee Magnoli), who left us peacefully on January 30, 2026, at Staten Island University Hospital-Northwell. Frances, lovingly known to her family and friends as Fran, was born on March 16, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, Frances was the beloved daughter of the late Vincent Magnoli and the late Mary (Rossi) Magnoli. She lived a life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Owen O'Neill, who passed in 2016, and her cherished sister, Rosemarie Magnoli. Frances is survived by her only child, daughter Michelle O'Neill-Eldredge, and her son-in-law, Ray Eldredge, who were her pride and joy. She also leaves behind many devoted cousins of whom she could always count on for support. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews on her husband's side, who will forever cherish the memories shared with their beloved aunt. Throughout her life, Fran demonstrated an extraordinary capacity for love and care, exemplified by her deep bond with her family and friends. She was a stable force, offering strength and support to those around her. Fran dedicated most of her life to being a devoted homemaker, but she also spent time working in a bank and as a dental assistant. Regardless of her employment, her heart remained firmly anchored in the home she built with her husband. Frances married the love of her life, Thomas, in 1970. The couple created a beautiful life together, first residing in Bensonhurst before finding their forever home in Annadale in 1989. Together, they built a second home in the mountains of Pennsylvania, a place where they cherished countless moments of joy and relaxation. Her hobbies included bowling on leagues for many years at various alleys, a pastime that brought her much joy and camaraderie. Frances was also a proud and loving pet owner, having adored her daughter's late dog, Boogie, as if he were her own grandson. Throughout her life, Frances faced numerous medical challenges, including being a courageous two-time breast cancer survivor. She battled heart issues and other health problems with unparalleled strength, humility, and grace, teaching us all about the power of perseverance. Even in her final days, she made countless sacrifices for her family, demonstrating her deep love and commitment. A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Frances Ann O'Neill will be held on February 7, 2026, 11:00 am at Holy Child Church. 4747 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10312. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember her not just for her passing, but for the love she shared and the indelible mark she left on all our hearts.
