Frank C. Maisano

Frank was born on June 30, 1943, in Little Italy, Manhattan, and passed away on January 16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosalie, whom he carried in his heart every day. He is survived by his four children, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sister. Frank greeted everyone with warmth and respect, treating all people equally regardless of who they were or where they came from. He was always ready to offer guidance, especially when it came to drag racing. Whether giving life advice or sharing a story, Frank made those around him feel like family. An old-school Italian at heart, Frank lived life with passion and confidence. A hardworking man, he built and ran a successful trucking business. Outside of work, he fully embraced life. He loved playing paddleball, hitting the heavy bag and speed bag, shooting pool, drag racing, racing homing pigeons, playing gin, performing magic card tricks, and engaging in lengthy conversations. His hobbies and interests seemed endless. Frank delighted in writing personalized letters in his beautiful, unmistakable calligraphy, carefully choosing a saying inspired by each person’s life or what they were going through. He found joy in giving, especially the countless wooden roses he loved to hand out, simply to see someone smile through a kind gesture. At home, he cherished his time with his furry companion, Rocky the pug. Following the loss of Rosalie, Frank found renewed purpose and joy through the Lightning truck community. Over time, he became a larger-than-life presence in the community, recognized not only for his record-breaking runs but also for his personality, generosity, and spirit. Passionate, outspoken, and full of life, Frank brought a special energy wherever he went. Through friendships, debates, garage parties, and countless shared moments, he helped create memories that will live on far beyond the track. Frank will be remembered for his infectious smile and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply and forever missed. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Memorial Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312.
