John F. Ingargiola

John F. Ingargiola, 77 of Huguenot passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Born Saturday, September 18, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Pietro Ingargiola and the late Francesca (Mannino) Ingargiola. John a former Vice President for Citi Bank Financial, had varied interests. John hand raised, trained and raced homing pigeons. An avid Hunter. John had a knack for gardening and grew and tended to a beautiful garden that he planted in his home and his son Peter's yard. John was the quintessential Handy Man, lending his skills to his many neighbors and friends whenever they needed help. When not fixing things around the house John could be found tinkering with his old cars, a true passion for him he loved old and antique cars and could spend hours working on them. John loved old movies and shows from Elvis to Marilyn Monroe ( The only woman he would leave his wife for) and relished that his old classics were back on television for him and his dog Bella to enjoy together eventful hour watching Superman, the Lone Ranger, the 3 Stooges, The Little Rascals, and the ''Duke'' reruns of John Wayne Movie's. John will be remembered for his generous nature, his kind heart, his willingness to help even when he didn't want to, and his secret love of KFC. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Maria Ingargiola. Loving father of Michelle Riccardi, Donna Durazzo, Peter Ingargiola, and the late Francine Ingargiola who passed away in 1970. Dear father in law of Frank Riccardi Michelle Ingargiola. A fond future father in law of Robert Sparandera. Adored brother of Joseph Ingargiola and Maryanna Mannino. Cherished grandfather of John, Frank, Amelia, Gianna , Emma, Luca, Mia, Stella, Giovanni A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Friday at Our Lady Star of The Sea located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will be having a private visitation before the funeral mass on Friday from 8-9:30 a.m..
