We celebrate the beautiful life of Josephine ''Joan'' Pacifico a wonderful, amazing, stylish woman and cherished Mother, who passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Josephine was an educated individual who enjoyed working in the corporate environment of Manhattan. Establishing a 20 year career with American International Group after raising her family. After retirement, she continued to be active in the community volunteering for 23 years at Staten Island University hospital. Born on May 7, 1936 in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn to parents Paul and Josephine Crissalli. She was married for 26 years to Eugene Pacifico and is predeceased by her sister Marie. She lived her life with grace, kindness and an unwavering love for her family. Her home in Staten Island was always a place of comfort, joy and celebration. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and valued and her gentle wisdom guided those around her. She enjoyed holidays with family and cooking all the traditional favorites that we loved. Traveling to foreign lands, exploring different cultures, theater and the arts were another passion of hers. She loved gardening and decorating around her house, frequent trips to Spring Lake, New Jersey and Seabrook Island, South Carolina enjoying there beautiful, peaceful surroundings. As a Mother she brought joy, strength and endless encouragement to be the best we can be. She leaves behind a legacy built on love, compassion and faith. Her life was built on simplicity of living each day to the fullest. Her family takes comfort knowing that her spirit of passion for life lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She is survived by her children Eugene, Lauren, Son in Law Edward and Nicholas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Patrick's Church located at 53 St. Patrick's Place Staten Island, New York 10306. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
