Linda T. Miraglia

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Miraglia, who left this world peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 3, 1950, in Far Rockaway, Queens, Linda lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished moments that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Fermin and Mary Cruz. She grew up in a close-knit family and was preceded in death by her late husband, Bert Miraglia Jr., and her late brothers, David and Renald Cruz. Her warmth and vibrant spirit were an anchor not just for her immediate family but for all those fortunate enough to know her. Linda is survived by her devoted sons, Michael Miraglia Sr. and his wife, Francine, and Joseph Miraglia and his wife, Toniann. She was the proud mother of daughter Michelle Damato. Linda's legacy lives on through her grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Michael Jr., Anthony, Emily, Lucas, Vincent, Rocco, Austin, Joseph Jr., Grace, Nico, and Lorenzo. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she loved nothing more than cheering them on at their sporting events. She is also survived by her loving siblings: her brother Daniel Cruz and his wife, Sara; brother Fermin Cruz and his wife, Rose Marie; and sister Mona Cruz, as well as the wives of her late brothers, Jo-An and Suzie Cruz. Linda was not only a sister but also a beloved sister-in-law, aunt, and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Linda attended Curtis High School, where she nurtured her love for learning and built lifelong friendships. Professionally, she dedicated her talents as a dietician at Staten Island Hospital before taking on the role of Bus Matron for Island Charter, where she was deeply respected by her colleagues and the families she served. A community-minded individual, Linda served as the former PTA President at Ralph McKee High School, where she worked tirelessly to enhance the educational experience for students and foster connections between families and the school. Her passion for her community was evident in everything she did. Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved crafting, taking bus trips to Atlantic City, and organizing family vacations to Wildwood and Long Beach Island. A lover of Betty Boop, Linda embraced her playful side, often dressing up in funny costumes for family celebrations, embodying the spirit of fun and joy that made her the life of the party. Family was everything to her, especially her relatives in Florida, who held a special place in her heart. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember Linda’s infectious laughter, her generous spirit, and her unwavering love for her family. She filled every room with warmth and kindness and leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew her. Linda Miraglia will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, guiding us with love and laughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Pity Church located at 1616 Richmond Ave. Staten Island, New York 10314. Interment will follow in St Peters Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2026, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
