Margaret Scott

Margaret Scott, 94 of Eltingville, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Born Tuesday, March 1, 1927 in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Morris Savage and Agnes Smith Savage. Margaret has resided in Eltingville for over 60 years. She was an Administrator for AT&T for many years before retiring in 1991. She also proudly served as a Wren in the Women's Royal Naval Service in Scotland. Margaret enjoyed volunteering her time and was active with the St. Vincent DePaul Food Kitchen. She also acted as a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Child Church, where she was an active member. Margaret enjoyed traveling and going on vacations when she got the opportunity. Seh enjoyed taking trips with her family and going on cruises. She enjoyed shopping, going to the movies, and taking a trip to the beach. Margaret loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Alexander. Cherished mother of Liz Dunn and her husband Joe. Devoted grandmother to Kelsey Cipriano and Joseph, Andrew Dunn and Gianna. Doting great grandmother to Joseph Dunn and Capri Cipriano. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Rd Staten Island, New York 10312. A New York State decision that those who are vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks. However, our staff who have serviced over 350 covid funeral services safely will wear masks to protect those who have not been vaccinated or those who feel uncertain and our own families. We feel this is necessary because we have handled 8 covid deaths in the month of May and more as of this writing of June 21st.
