Michael LoRusso

Michael Anthony LoRusso, known affectionately as Mike, passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 68 in San Antonio, TX. Born on June 12, 1956, in Brooklyn, NY, Mike was a respected and cherished figure in both his professional and personal life. Mike's career was marked by significant achievements and leadership roles, notably as Vice President at Citicorp, where he dedicated almost 30 years in Brooklyn, Long Island, NY, and San Antonio, TX. He also held esteemed positions at Lehman Brothers in Scottsbluff, NE, CoreLogic in St Petersburg, FL, and Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, OH, until moving back to Texas in 2015 to be closer to his daughter and friends he considered family. His insightful and genius approach to financial customer service made him a revered mentor and problem solver within the industry and well respected and sought-after for advice by his peers. Beyond his professional life, Mike was passionate about sports, particularly the New York Yankees, and enjoyed playing baseball, softball, golf, and bowling throughout his life. He was the life of any gathering, often hosting and coordinating work and school reunions, brunches, dinners, and parties that brought friends and family together in joy and celebration. Mike was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle and Godfather. He is survived by his daughter, Heather LoRusso; sisters, Rosemarie LoRusso Leto (Anthony Leto) and Joann LoRusso; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 21 years, Laurie (Hemmy) LoRusso; mother, Marie (Germano) LoRusso; and father, Joseph LoRusso. Mike's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of intelligence, dedication, and kindness will forever resonate with those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
