Norman J. Serafin, Jr., 56 of Grymes Hill, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at home. Born Sunday, September 27, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Norman Serafin Sr. and the late Marie (Shannon) Serafin. Norman, a Vice President for Nordea Bank Finland PLC. spent his free time with family and friends. A talented man Norman would regale his family with his piano skills playing beautifully for them to enjoy. In addition to his musical skills Norman was an amazing artist and has left many pieces for his family to not only enjoy but to cherish and to bring a smile to their faces remembering Norman when admiring them. In his down time Norman was an avid player of World of Warcraft, a game that he not only played well but made many online friends from. He was the beloved husband of Katherine McNamara. Devoted stepfather of Richard Reyes. Loving brother of Karan Neilson, Donna Marcus and Dawn Giudice. Dear brother in law of Arthur Neilson, and the late Alan Marcus and Neil Giudice. Devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. Colleague, friend and artist. He will be sorely missed by all who's lives he has touched A Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM on Thursday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc.. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc.., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services.
