Rosemary Brunetti

Rosemary Brunetti, of Manalapan, NJ, a longtime resident of Staten Island, and Brooklyn, NY was born on October 2nd, 1940. She was currently 82 years old. Rosemary was born to Lawrence & Rose Cimato, while living in Brooklyn. She was the only daughter and middle child of three children. Her older brother, Bubby (Anthony) and wife Angela Cimato have passed on ahead of her, and is survived by her younger brother, Lawrence Cimato and wife Marion (deceased). She is also survived by her younger brother in-laws Dominick & his wife Dorothy (deceased), and Anthony & deceased wife Addie. At 18, Rosemary met the love of her life, John Brunetti, and knew he was the one. The two were never apart, enjoying and sharing so many things and events in their lives. Rosemary & John’s love story is like no other, together they were the true example of everlasting love, they shared and lived by what they called the Power Of Love. Rosemary & John were marred 62 years ago on May 7th at St. Clare’s Church. After working as a Legal Secretary for many years, Rosemary became a successful retail business owner of Leather & Fur Ranch until she recently retired. Rosemary originally ran and worked the business, and was later joined by her husband John, and children Gina and John. Working as a family, they grew the small Leather & Fur Ranch boutique into an upscale small chain of stores located in regional malls in SI and NJ. As for the last 45 yrs. of Rosemary and John’s lives they enjoyed working together every day at their retail business, Leather & Fur Ranch. Especially, their Atlantic City locations that kept them out all night as well as working all day. A fun time for them as they appeared to be residents of Atlantic City for a few years. Rosemary’s greatest happiness was when she was with her family and time spent with the love of her life, her husband John and their two children Gina and John, their son in-law Mike Mulcahy, and daughter in-law Anne, as well as her six Grandchildren who referred to her affectionately as Gaga – Lisa & her husband Armando, Christina & her husband Laurent, Michael & his fiancee Olivia, Jenna, Joseph and AnneMarie, along with her Great Grandchildren Lily Rose, Mike, and Jax. She was very involved in our daily lives and we relied on her for guidance, wisdom, and just about everything else, but most of all her love and caring for us. Gaga was extaordinarily very special to all of us, and was the cornerstone of our family. Family was everything to Rosemary. Her world revolved around spending time with her children and grandchildren. Guiding them, teaching them, and loving them. She was a guiding force for not just her children and grandchildren, but for so many others as well. People loved to sit down and have a conversation with her. Rosemary spent much of her time talking to people about what’s most important in life. She had a way of using her words so effectively to guide, teach, and heal others. Rosemary was extremely religious with tremendous Catholic faith believing that with God all things are possible. Along with her very positive and faith filled mind set, Rosemary was one to take chances, believing that you can achieve anything you really want in life. She believed that God would figure out a way to make things work out. She lived by that, and was very supportive to her children to not shy away from taking on challenges. Living by that, Rosemary and her husband John, built a Pocono house many years ago, where they created so many fun and meaningful memories with their entire family. Over the last 20 years, Rosemary and her family looked forward to spending a few weeks in St. Maarten each year where they celebrated special occasions like renewing their wedding vows after 50 years, her granddaughters engagement, and special birthdays. Rosemary Brunetti has many great accomplishments and experiences, beyond being an awesomely loving wife, and extremely giving and caring Mom, such as: Rosemary was very generous with both her time and money, getting joy out of making others happy. Rosemary and her husband John volunteered their time to teach natural Family Planning for the Archdiocese of NY, worked on political campaigns, and donated generously to a number of casinos. Rosemary enjoyed going to Atlantic City and Parx’s Casinos playing Joker Poker and Roulette. After Rosemary’s husband John passed away two years ago, Rosemary continued to wake up each morning, sit on the couch where she and John always sat and pray together. Even though John wasn’t here physically with her, she knew he was with her spiritually, so she didn’t stop praying with him. Her faith was powerful and she wanted nothing more for her family to rely on God the same way she did. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Her favorite things to say was “Don’t Worry, Be Happy! Be a Happy Idiot.” And she lived by it! And also she would say, “With God, All things are possible!” A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, October 17, 2022, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
