In Loving Memory of Sally D'Angelo (Vento) Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to our beloved Sally D'Angelo (Vento), who passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 5, 1949, to Rose Vento (Rega) and Salvatore Vento, Sally lived a life filled with love, laughter, and light. She was the cherished sister of the late James Vento and shared a lifelong bond with her dear cousin Emily Russo, who was like a sister to her. Sally met the love of her life, George D'Angelo Sr., when she was just 14 years old. From that moment on, they were inseparable. They built a beautiful life together, celebrating 57 years of marriage built on devotion, respect, and true friendship. Their love was one that inspired everyone who knew them. Sally's proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She was the heart of her family a devoted mother to her daughter Dana Cataldo (D'Angelo) and her husband Raymond, and to her son George D'Angelo and his wife ToniAnne. She adored her four grandchildren - Raymond Cataldo, Robert Cataldo, George D'Angelo, and Ella D'Angelo who brought endless joy to her life. Her face would light up whenever she spoke about them, and she loved them beyond words. Sally also had three grand pups - Teddy, Carmine, and Bruno — who she spoiled with love and homemade treats. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious smell of her cooking. Sunday dinners were her favorite - surrounded by the people she loved most. Sally's joy came from caring for others, making everyone feel special, and turning ordinary days into cherished memories. She loved to dance, sing, and listen to music, and her beautiful spirit shined wherever she went. Her famous words, "Do the best you can," were more than just advice - they were how she lived her life. She truly did the best she could, every single day, and gave her heart to everyone around her. Sally will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely. Though our hearts ache with her loss, her spirit will live on in the family she built and the love she left behind. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at St Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment to follow. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
